Trust our seasoned team behind the construction of your new home

Building a new home is a big decision. It's not just about choosing the right design and location - you also need to find an experienced and qualified local Tauranga builder who can turn your ideas into reality. To ensure a flawless finish, you will need conscious and considerate home builders who will go the extra mile for you, which is exactly what we do.

Tauranga now has a wide selection of builders to choose from, but even the most qualified and experienced builder might not agree with your vision. For the best outcome, make sure you're compatible with your building team.

You need to know how far your builder will go to accomplish the result you want. Our fully-qualified and experienced team at Precise Builders take great pride in doing all that's required to create the home you've always wanted.

Whether it means arranging meetings to suit your schedule, or scouring the Bay of Plenty for a particular fixture, we are more than happy to be of service. Precise Builders are devoted to quality and driven to bring your vision to life.

With Precise Builders you gain the support of a professional team committed to building your dream home - exactly the way you envisaged it.

Precise Builders building process

So, let's talk about the journey... These 9 steps take you from imagining your new home to receiving the keys to your custom-built property.

Step One: The Consultation

The first step in designing and building your new build project is to have a consultation with our team. Our custom consultations include discussing the design, the specific design elements you envision, and any budget constraints or timeline preferences that may be important to you. Your needs are always at the centre of everything we do, so this meeting will help us understand what is most important for your Tauranga new build.

Step Two: Architect

Once the consultation is complete and we know what you are looking for, our architect will join in for further planning. It is important that the designer you select understands your needs and adapts to the particular architectural style you are seeking. You may already have an architect in mind or onboard, if not we can recommend local registered architects who we trust entirely.

Step Three: Concept Drawings

Your architect will create architectural drawings to show all of your requirements in a detailed design. These are called concept drawings and they are created to show what your new build will look like. This can help you visualise what it is that we are proposing and ensure the drawings match your vision.

Step Four: Working Drawings

Working drawings are what we refer to as 'blueprint' plans that show you how your new build will look at a conceptual level, including specifics such as dimensions both internally and externally, placement of windows, entrances etc.

Upon review and approval of the working drawings by both parties, we will then move ahead with the next stage of obtaining full construction consent with our local council.

Step Five: Pricing Proposal

Following your confirmation of the working drawings, we will prepare a detailed quote and scope of works, which you can review before providing your final approval to commence work on site. Within this document you will find exactly what is included in the quote, and which items are not included.

Step Six: Architect meets Engineer

After the final working drawings have been approved by you and your architect, they will then be given to our engineer for inspection. Once the building plan and working drawings satisfy all building requirements, our team will receive the go-ahead.

Step Seven: Building Consent Issued

Following approval from all relevant parties, our team will finalise the building and planning process with the local council to obtain the building permit, before moving ahead with construction on site.

Step Eight: Precise Builders begin to work your dream home

Once the building consent is in place, Precise Builders will commence with construction on site. We will keep you informed of the building progress, alongside weekly site meetings with Dave and you will have access to our project management system for a project overview at any stage. Each member of our team is committed to working extremely hard to meet the proposed project deadline.

Step Nine: Building completion and move-in day!

Your home is now yours and is ready to be completed with all your furniture and homeware, so you can create treasured memories for years to come.

Throughout every step of the entire building process, you can rest assured we will be in regular contact. You will be involved in the decision-making process at all times, and we will keep you fully informed at every step of the way.
